Discipline's Origin
Dressage
The sport of training horses for competition has existed for several centuries. Dressage developed as a method of training horses for war, teaching them precise movements. There is some evidence that dressage-type manoeuvres were developed by the ancient Greeks. Modern dressage began during the Renaissance when the Neapolitan nobleman Federico Grisone founded a riding academy in Naples in 1532. France quickly became the top nation in dressage and embraced it enthusiastically. In the 20th century, Germany replaced France as the top nation in this event.
Jumping
Modern jumping events are based on the foxhunting tradition. Hunting enthusiasts in Britain and America sought ways to test the talents of their horses more systematically. Jumping competitions for horses were first organised in the 19th century in Ireland by the Royal Dublin Society. Modern jumping techniques were developed by the Italian Federico Caprilli, who is considered the "father of modern riding."
Eventing
Three-day eventing, usually abbreviated by horse enthusiasts to "eventing", began as a test of the cavalry horse. Military horses were required to travel long distances, negotiate the many natural obstacles, and then perform strict parade manoeuvres. Competitions began in this event in Europe in 1902 and interest in the sport is still concentrated mainly in Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand.

Competition Format
Dressage
The Team Competition will take place on the first two days, which is also the First Individual Qualifier. Each combination of horse and rider in this competition will perform an FEI Grand Prix Test, containing a series of compulsory movements. Judges will award good marks from 0 to 10 for each movement and each collective assessment with 0 being the lowest and 10 the highest mark. The total three scores of each team will count towards the team classification.
The 25 best combinations out of the 50 in the First Individual Qualifier, including those who tie for the 25th place, will qualify to compete in the Second Individual Qualifier, performing an FEI Grand Prix Special Test.
The 15 best combinations in the FEI Grand Prix Special Test, including those who tie for the 15th place, will qualify to compete in Final Individual Competition, the FEI Grand Prix level Freestyle Test, a Freestyle composition of Grand Prix movements performed with the rider's own choreography accompanied by selected music.
Individual medals will be awarded according to the average percentage scores of the FEI Grand Prix Special and FEI Grand Prix Freestyle competitions of each rider.
There will be three rest days during the Dressage competition. The first rest day will be between the FEI Grand Prix and the FEI Grand Prix Special and the second and third rest days will be between the FEI Grand Prix Special and the FEI Grand Prix Freestyle.

Jumping
On the first competition day, the Jumping competition is the first qualifying round for the Final Individual Competition and will decide the starting order of the Round 1 (qualifying round) of the Team Competition. After this competition, there will be a rest day.
The Team Competition Round 1 and Round 2 take place on the second and third competition day, and also count as the second and third qualifier for the Final Individual Competition.
In the team competition, the team with the lowest total number of penalties of its three best placed competitors in Round 1 and Round 2 respectively will be the winner. In case of a tie for either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, there will be a jump-off against the clock.
After two rest days, the Final Individual Competition will take place on the fourth competition day. Round A of this competition is compulsory for the 35 best placed riders and horses (including those with equality of penalties for the 35th place) according to the cumulative penalties over the first and second competition.
The 20 best placed competitors (including those with equality of penalties for the 20th place) will advance to Round B of the Final Individual Competition. Individual medals will be determined by adding together for each competitor the penalties incurred in Rounds A and B. If there is a tie, the penalties and time incurred in the jump-off will decide.

Eventing
Team and individual competitions will run concurrently, with an additional Jumping Test as the final competition to determine the Individual classification.
On the first two days of the Eventing competition, competitors will ride a compulsory Dressage test. The score of this test will be converted into penalty points, to which jumping penalty points and time penalty points of the following Cross-Country and Jumping tests will be added.
The Cross-Country test will take place on the third Eventing competition day on an obstacle course of approximately 5.7km, consisting of a maximum of 45 jumping efforts that must be completed within a prescribed length of time (approximately 11mins).
The jumping test will be the final section of the Eventing competition on the fourth day. The first Jumping Test will determine the team classification. The 25 best riders, including those who tie for the 25th place, classified in the team competition with a maximum of 3 best riders of team classification per nation, will qualify to participate in the Individual Jumping Test to determine the individual classification.
The team with the lowest total of penalty points, after adding together the final scores of its three best riders will be the winner in the team competition. The rider/horse combination with the lowest total of penalty points, after adding together, for each competitor, the penalty points incurred in all tests, will be the winner of the individual competition.
Note: There will be no reserve horses for Eventing.
Each Jumping team consisting of either 3 or 4 riders will be allowed 1 reserve horse with a total of approximately 15 reserve horses.
Each Dressage team consisting 3 riders will be allowed 1 reserve horse with a total of approximately 10 reserve horses.
All costs to travel and stabling of the horse will be at the expense of BOCOG.

จัดขึ้นที่สนามใหญ่ของเมือง คนมากันมืดฟ้า...highlightอยู่ตรงการเดินEventingพร้อมไฟตอนงานเลิก...หรือการแข่งม้า
ภาพพวกนี้ เห็นในทีวีก็งั้นๆ...นั่งอยู่ในเหตุการณ์จริงได้กลิ่นสาบม้า ขี้ม้า
ยิ่งตอนวิ่งเสียงน่ากลัวค่ะ...ม้าที่โน่น ตัวใหญ่มาก
