normally robin would request(want to have!) something quite strange for his age...one time he would like to have...Game Cube WIII...which just lay down in the market..the price is still high 250 Euro..you can bet that we will never buy him such thing then he change his wish to a collection of Encycopedia(12 thick set dictionary with story and pictures)withthe same price...His daddy order it without mouning about how high the price ...Robin has a lot of adult books...he read too much I afraid he will soon change his eye glasses!

Nong NN Ka,
I really love Robin by his story. He is so smart. How come kid of his age loves to collect encyclopedia. I appreciate his dad's decision in supporting him this request. I always view kids who behave as bookworm, they are always good in logical, analytical and social thinkings. Hope once in my life, I will see the Nobel Prize Laureate named Robin Mueller! Sure! FUNN THONKE!!! (ฟันธง!)

พี่ทรายคะ

ฤดูไหนคะ เหมาะจะไปดูนก พี่ทรายน่าจะจัดดูนกในป่าบ้างนะคะ...แบบเอาสไตล์ซีมะโด่งไม่ไกลมากก็ได้ค่ะ อยากไปเดินป่า หัดดูนกบ้างน่ะค่ะ

as he was 6..we had a meeting with kindergarten ,they said Robin's a dreamer!he could not participate(wouldn't)..like to sit in the corner and turn the pages of books...he was so quiet,could not say it out what he want ..so he had to go to other school called"special course for pre-school"which the children with "abnormal"behavior will go(15 children were chosen , 2 from each 6 kindergarten three days a week for 6 months)
It was our hard time as we thought he is a ADS child(of english should be concentration defficit syndrome)some kind opposite of hyperactive...by Robin was that he was not there in this world!!!!
We talked with a teenager docter,child docter what should be a cause and how to help him..should I speak with him Deutsch or so...they proved,they tested,they made any exam and film..he was normal...he is a double language child..it is normal that he needs time to translate..we both attended a class of those CDS...I found out after 2 meeting(12 meeting in a group of 8 couples cost 250 Euro the health insurance deny to pay for this course..really upset story)that Robin was not belongs to those kind(aggressive,hyperactive,trouble child) but we kept going untill the end.
After this 6 months..Robin was more active...he didn't like the big group in his kindergarten,a small group made him feel so well..along this six months he could write,could read..I mean really read word after word by himself...our neigbour thought we tought him...no,it was his own tried..as he went to school some mothers asked me whether I helped him to read and write(it is forbidden!! not do against the school process learning)..at that time I was going out to learn Deutsch to make an exam too...no time left to do such thing.
Nowaday..Robin belongs to 1 of 8 best in the class of 31 children.He thinks complicates,he thinks different and the topic he discusses with his daddy is...for my opinion..comes from the space!!!one topic about how to know what is inside the time....his daddy said he should learn physic and make an experiment..make it better than Einstein(he has his poster in his room)...herrrrrrrr.

ฤดูหนาวแบบไทยๆ เป็นฤดูที่ดีที่สุดสำหรับการดูนก เหตุผล ...

(1) ที่ว่า "แบบไทยๆ" นี่ก็คืออุณหภูมิค่ะ อากาศหนาวจะทำให้นักดูนกจะรู้สึกสบายๆ เดินมากก็เหนื่อยยาก ร้อนยาก; ที่สำคัญคือ (2) ฤดูหนาวมีนกย้ายถิ่นเข้ามาอยู่บ้านเราเยอะ เพราะมันหนีหนาวจากถิ่นเดิมของมัน นักดูนกไทยก็เลยต้องใช้โอกาสตามดูนกต่างชาติที่เข้ามาอยู่บ้านเรา เช่น Spoonbilled Sandpiper ซึ่งเป็นนกหายาก แม้แต่ฝรั่งยังต้องวางแผนมาเที่ยวเมืองไทยช่วงที่ Spoonbilled Sandpiper มาแวะที่ โคกขาม จ.สมุทรสาครค่ะ;

สำหรับนักดูนกคนไทยดูกันทุกฤดู เพราะเรามีแหล่งธรรมชาติตามลักษณะภูมิศาสตร์หลากหลายมาก คือมีทั้งภูเขา ป่าสูง ป่าโกงกาง ทะเล ทุ่งหญ้า บึงน้ำจืด บึงน้ำเค็ม ฯลฯ ซึ่งลักษณะที่แตกต่างเหล่านี้จะพบนกแตกต่างกันไป อดีตเคยมี record ว่าเรามีนก 900+ ชนิด แต่ record ล่าสุด แจ้งไว้ว่ามีนกมากกว่า 1,000 species ค่ะ นกที่เคยจัดในกลุ่มนกย้ายถิ่น เกิดเปลี่ยนใจ ลงหลักปักฐานอยู่คาที่ที่เมืองไทยนี่หละ ไม่ยอมย้ายกลับ (ติดใจเมืองไทย) ทำให้ record เรามีเพิ่มขึ้น

เมืองไทยเพราะเป็นสวรรค์ของนักดูนกชาวต่างชาติ ก็เพราะความหลากหลายทางภูมิศาสตร์นี่หละ นี่คือความวิเศษของ "เมืองสยาม" ค่ะ

Nong NN ka,
Time of 2007's semester starts. Faculty meetings, meetings .... keep me away from web. Also research proposals are called at this time. This keeps me busy. However, I still had time for birdwatching. Last week I went out with friends to Saraburi where Ponk-kone-sao (โป่งก้อนเส้า) locates. There are nice birds there. Unfortunately, I did not bring camera so there was no photo showed here.

Coming this weekend, again we plan to go out to 'วัดป่าสุนันทฯ' in Kanchanaburi in order to join "forest plantation program." So time is interchangable between 'nature' and 'dhamma' (ธรรมชาติ VS ธรรมะ). I will send  "boon" received from 'วัดป่าสุนันทฯ' to you through satellite. Nice weekend na ka Nong NN.
