I think this webboard is a place to meet,to chat,to transfer any news ,to inform any event,to collect people,to ask for help,to extend any grateful,and more.
It is a place everybody should feel free to come and free will to do...it is their decision to join and not because of any favor to anyone that why they join!!They should come here because they want to,they like to,not because they have to ...as this spirit is unwritten thing.
I myself,do really care and give all my warmness to the people who appear here or active here...not miss anyone who is not here...why should I?everybody have their own life ,own problems ,their own business:private or career to solve the same ...different only how can they manage.If they start with any argument why they can not visit webboard....let it there by themself...who will hear such kind as each has their own also!!!

  Thanks, N' Jiab, for submitting a new topic which sounds more interesting than 'one bad-man-star and three pretty  stars'. I myself quite agree to most of the comparison behaviours between the East and West people, but of course the degree varies from country to country. For in stance, from what I have experienced, the Chinese people in China are more disordering than Thai people when queueing in restaurants, shopping centres, bus stations, etc.

N'ning. I enjoy reading the love of each faculty kids, but don't understand about love of our faculty boys; so, please help explain. By the way, who will be the maderator in this column? May be N'Kung should accept the invitation.

I had read your share and contribution since 04.00 am.early this morning..but I was so tired from surfing googleearth by room 13 so I think let me get any sleep and refresh myself then the tour(correspond)could go on!
This Chinese student in Germany has really humor!!not only humor but rely to himself very much who can see himself/his culture like that...I know that under his many years experience in Germany he has to be neutral otherwise he will have a problem there....a shock culture conflict...one thing I figure out immediately...how he can "simplify" his message into an easy symbol...that is typical for the way of life there.The system they set for their people...easy to handling.

Fortunately, I am about to conduct a workshop for 30 high school- school counselors on culture shock in order to give life skills to their students in the provinces to be able to handle with new cultures in Bangkok or other big cities ........ OR when they expereince culture shock krab.

May I use your info as an activity at the workshop naa krab. OR should I invite you as a guest speaker... in stead krab?

:wink:  P' Charin and NN, you're welcome. I had a lot of laugh when I saw these icons. They're true. As I just came back from touring in Sechuan last Wednesday and Beijing since 8 years ago, I could witness for them. Lui Young had keen eyes and could smartly design his icons. Some of them can teach us to correct our behaviors to be better.

Would you like to know what some Western opinions are, after seeing these icons ? This is an example from Gunnar, my Norwegian friend, an engineer, the Director of Safety Division in a big petroleum company in Norway. He travels a lot for business trips in many Asian countries. He replied me :

Yes the difference in Culture is exactly what these figures are showing; I was smiling, like punctuality, queuing, communication etc so typical, we have a lot to learn from each other.

I always heard it from my business lecture professor(who naturally visit few times .but read more articles)at the colledge..she said,keep our eyes on China!look how they develope..it is not like a normal developement  of individual country...it is ten times hundred times more...the mass...the quantity...scares her!even out of german automobil eye..if you can sell a car in China..the profit is not like before...an enormous sum!!
For me,I think of your one icons about bicycle and car which reverse develope between Europe and China ...where/who can support all those energy and fuel..which is a limited resource...for those cars??How about "umwelt"there and the whole wide spread area??

I thing queue system in Germany is one of a "fair"act to everybody....I also face other form of toilette queueing..it has only 2 small WC inside...no place to wait in front of the door..so the queue is outside!!when anyone out..the next get in...and when the new comer wants to walk through cause she does not know this queue is for inside...anyone brave will tell her that they are waiting!!!...
It alert me to look around carefullly when I go elsewhere...the queue breaker will be blamed...a mass blame from the whole queue...like in the Frankfurt airport...by check in...that is a typical queue to observe.

today I am late by primetime!I have a bad planning!! first I just want to drive to a supermarket here in Leingarten and buy a store chip 2 GB for my camera I will take with me to Thailand..then a little bit shop food(the kid are at home,we consume faster than usual...a small thing like one liter fresh milch for my coffee!!,a sousage(??),cucumber,papaya,fresh prune.Then Katharina said she needs a costume..a halloween costume ,which there not have in Leingarten...so girl we drive fast to Heilbronn..Oh,I need an outfit for the reunion party...from that on...I forget the time and enjoy searching,trying on,untill 18.00 in the dark...huhhh....two men at home worry where were they...in the winter darkness....spontanously cost too much time and money ka.

It's NOT funny at all. The coffee I meant was the most and expensive menu for my coffee bar. It is imported from Australia, but French origin. I have around 20 kinds of coffee in the menu for my coffee bar.

Fresh coffee made from the coffee brewer is always best for our body when compared with the ready-to-drink or 3 in 1 coffee. I personally a coffee lover as well krab.

Now I have a chance to taste fresh coffee..and I can divide...the processed coffee from Nestcafe(Nestle) is so good like the rest product!!!
But where should I know,our life should start from somewhere....to drink red cap is for me already a privilege at that time.

ชาชัก is very popular in southern Thailand and now boom in Bangkok. There are franchising everywhere in BKK, including Siam Paragon. We drink it with Roti with sugar and milk on top.

It's not cheap naa...... around 25-60 Baht normally per cup. In a big hotel, it can be 120 - 150 Baht per cup naa.

In Narathiwas, Pattani and Yala, it is about 10 Baht acup.

I have a good memory about coffee center in Songkhla not because of drinking hot drink  but about a delicious "Kao Tom Jok Song Kreung"...rice soup with egg ,minc meat,innen organ of pork,etc....at the weekend..what I found hard for me at that time was that we have to wake up so early  on Sunday morning!
Horrible..but when I smelt/tasted Kao Tom Jok...everything seemed not so bad.

I carry a dried แกงไตปลา from Phuket(originately from Phangnga)to Germany...some spoonful..pour water inside...heat it..finish!no that is not my art to make thing different...I throw bamboo from can,I fry fish(Alaska fish )and beat it in "Krok"...in addition...my แกงไตปลาแห้ง can taste nong nong paradise ka...cause real paradise I can have it only in...THAILAND.

Truely say,I find this situation has been few years ago since the economy moved to the East(East Europe/Asia)...the big best profit companies/corporations announce their double and threefold successful target with profit but they still need to "save"cost by layoff an employee and /or move to cheaper production cost area.
The same quantity work but less manpower than before..or substituted by maschine..
I feel these crisis 6-7 years ago as my husband 's company(Knorr-German originated company) has been takeovered by a world wide English-Netherland corporation Unilever..there were a rumor that they will layoff some of manpower...self Research and developement..a brain of the company was not exceptional!! then there were rumore there will cancel some division and move to Hamburg...F&E..may be fusioned and existed only one in center by Roterdam-Netherland
All those rumore maked employee shaken!they were worry of their existance(house,location,family,)...between employee..there were tighten situation that no one trust the other...each will rescue himself...to be survive required a lot of strategies...new boss come and go...and so on.
It make me afraid too as I am the one who get all those burden from his dairy under pressure...
I need really full ear and neutral to listen to him...with an insecure,he should do his best..I and the kid we are his strong back up!!if we need to move..we will move..I am not afraid of the changing!and we have to be careful with our financial...in case anything unpredictable happen.

did I answer you about the reaction of raw oil higher price??I hope not cause what we effected indirect we start to do something against it from a small thing near us,for example:benzin price of diesel(our car) get higher..so we drive less,use public transport like the tram/train,bike..food and drink always cheap..it is not effected much compare to previous. Outfit and textil..higher price..so we shop less..wait for a right time of a right price...do you think the wholesale can stand their price long??if no one avail to pay??no..some day they will dump the price just to clear the store and set the new season product.It is a very short period.
The people do the same I think...they wait! they save and postpone what they need first and not important can be waited clear from each other...set their priority.
yes,we have to save but where and when...that is the question of need.

I can see that many clothing shops have winter collection BUT I still do not feel cold or even cool at all. One thing you must be aware of... is that it will be a bit dry in THailand during mid November - end January. So lip gross will help.!!!!!

You'll be fine in Thailand winter.... Think how you dress in German WARM fall or spring. No heavy clothes, glove, scarf, hat or boots.

I think you should not be worried too much about weather...... better concentrate on food and เที่ยว ดีกว่า
