Our group, composed of ten judges and associate judges from the Central International Intellectual Property and Trade Court, Thailand, is anxiously waiting for food to be served for our lunch on the first day. No doubt that we were hungry.

Taken with a Chinese journalist on the ship during a boat-ride along Yangtze river in Chongqing. This was just a short distance boat trip before we went to Xian the next morning for two days and came back again to start our journey in a much bigger ship to go to see the famous Three Gorges in Yangtze River which wouldl take two days to arrive at the Three Gorges Dam.

With Huang Hui whose nickname is Virginia, a young Chinese lawyer who was also a participant in the seminar. Most Chinese girls have English nicknames and they speak English well.

What you see here is called Terracotta Warriors, the sizes of which are as big as real human-beings. They were suppossed to be soldiers of Emperor Qin Shihuang or Jinsee Hongte (pronounce in Thai) who followed the emperor to serve him in heaven. N' Rerng is right to say that all the soldiers' faces as well as their hair styles looked different from one another. Up to now, three sites of terracotta troop were discoved but only two have been opened for public to see. Yes, it's correct that the first site of terra-cotta worrors was found by a farmer named Yang Zhifa and other five villages  when ehey were  digging a well for under-ground water in March 1974 or 34 years ago. This farmer still receives a  salary from government as a reward for his recovery and we can see him sitting near the entrance of the museum everyday.

As you probably know, this taracotta museum was located in Xian or Chang-an, China's old capita for a very long period of time. There are several other places to see too besides this museum. So, I recommend that Xian is a place one must put in the programme if he or she wants to tour China and see somthing spectacular and unbelievable.

Emperor Qin Shihuang's Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses are located 1,500m East of the mausoleum. It was officially open to public in October, 1979. The museum occupies an area of 200,000 square metres. There are 7,000 pottery figures in Pit No.1 including horses, chariots, infantry, calvary. From their military robes, we can see that there are generals and soldiers of various ranks. The average height of the terra-cotta figure is 1.8m..
Thousand of real weapons were unearthed from the pits including swords, halberd spears, broad swords, battle-axes, crossbows, arrows and arrow heads.

In the morning about 6:30 a.m. of Sunday, Sep 16, 2007; day 2 of our boat trip. We were close to the magnificent QUTANG Gorge in Yangtzi River. There are quite a number of bridges such as the one you see here along the river. They look magnificent, don't they?

We were entering Qutang Gorge, the first one of the three Three Gorges  which are the  high-light of our seven-day trip.

  Hi everybody!! Sorry that I just show up to tell you guys about my trip to China during Sep 13-19, 2007. First of all allow me to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to our webmaster, N'Phai, for helping me posting all the photos of my trip into this web as myself don't know how to do it. What you have viewed are just one half of all photos I intend to show you, especially beautiful scenery of the world renowned Three Gorges along Yangze River. In 1980, two sets of large painted bronze chariots and horses were unearthed . Probably they were intended for Emperor Qin shihuang's soul to go out  on inspection. They are the most big and most luxuriously ornamented bronbze chariots and horses ever unearthed of in the world. The chariots and horses are exact imitations of the actual ones in half-life. The function of every pary can work exactly like the real one.

At the same temple where the people come to worship and see with their own eyes how heaven and hell look like at the rear of the temple. When I saw the place that demonstrats the condition of people living in hell, I told myself that I must continue to do good and avoid doing bad things in order not to be brought to this place after dying!!

The statue you saw in the picture is the master of the next world of our lives. He has kept the book that contains the names list of people after passing away; who will go to heaven and who will be sent to hell. He is no doubt a very important and powerful person.

We are passing another ship which also taking foreign tourists to the same destination, the Three Gorges Dam project.

Taking from bedroom which has a small bathroom inside. It seemed that sleeping in this ship was more comfortable than  in the train we took during our trip to see flora Expo in ChiangMai early this year.

We finally arrived at the Three Gorges dam located at Yichang city, Hubei Province, and the ship was going to go across to the other side of the dam which the water level is much lower: how can that be possible?

Since June 16, 2003, the 5-step ship locks have been opened for ships to pass by. If my memory is correct, there are two ship locks for big ships and 1 ship lock for small ships. It took several hours before the ships in each lot can enter the other side of the dam. The reason it took such a long time because they must lower the water level 5 times and each time they must close the gate first and release the water from below until the water is at the same level with the next step. I am sure those who are engineering students will understand this technique well. What I have to say is that we human beings are very inteligent to be capable of doing this,

This is a tower for tourists to take photos of the great dam and near-by nice looking scenery.

The Three Gorges Project was once a dream of Chinese for 100 years. On june 1, 2003, the world famous yangtze Three Gorges Project started to store water. Only 10 days later, the water level of the reservoir reached 135 metres. Four months later, the water level rose to 139 metres.The Three Gorges has been now a huge man-made lake and unavoidably lost its original look.The Yangtze River, which runs forward with great strength and vigour for millions of years, now greatly slow its pace here. A new Three Gorges was born to the world!! It is more important that the construction of the Three Gorges Project brought new towns spreading all over the reservoir and modernized the life of the people in the Three Gorges at least half a century ahead of time.

This Project has become the largest hydropower station, which has the largest installed capacity and strongest power of generation in China.

On last day of my China trip, we visit a very old temple in Wuhan, Sichuan Province. The tower you saw is the symbol of the city; is was burned several times and it was rebuilt every time.When on top floor of the tower, we can sees the beautiful views with far away distance clearly.

This place  situated close to the temple in Wuhan. We were told that there are a lot of foreigners living in this city, especially French; the number must be big as they have their own designated area called Golden Town in Wuhan (We passed this area too). You probably don't know that Wuhan, which has poppulation about 10 million, is the production base in China for French automobiles, namely Pegeot, Zetron. So, don't be surprised if you come across lots of taxis running on streets in China today are these luxurious brandnames.

How do you like this unique beautiful tower? Lots of tourists come to visit the temple everyday and always go up to top floor of this tower to enjoy a bird-eye-view of  the city of Wuhan below.

These are cranes, the symbol of longevity or having long life since the ancient time of China.

Last but not least, just less than three hours before we left Wuhan for Gwangzhou and Bangkok on the same day, we went to attend  a tea-making ceremony at a shopping place where a lady demonstrated how to prepare delicious tea. After the ceremony, she introduced several kinds  of tea for us to buy. Unfortunately, only a few were convinced and supported her, and the rest bought other sweet Kanom instead.

Hope you guys get something from what I have related to you about my trip, if not I advise you to search for more information in internet to know and understand China in depth.
